What you need

  • 4 to 6 fish (fresh fillet, such as snapper, cod, and salmon)
  • Garnish: lime wedges (fresh or lemon)
  • For the Marinade/Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp. fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (brown loosely packed)
  • 4 to 5 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 chili (red minced, or 1/8 teaspoon to 1/3 teaspoon cayenne pepper or dried crushed chili (chili flakes, to taste)

How to make

At first stir all the sauce ingredients. Sugar should be mixed fully. Stir until it gets dissolved. Now, coat the fish fillet with the sauce from both parts. Keep it like this for 10 minutes. In the meantime, heat the grill.

Don’t overheat it. Take some cooking oil and brush the grill with it. Grill the fish for 6-7 minutes. Don’t turn the fish too early. Now, take all the ingredients to use as a side dish with the fish fillet.

To make it tastier, you can add some lime juice or any of your favorite juice on the fish.

  • 1 firm white fish, I used Louisiana Drum (about 4 large fillets)
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Good quality olive oil, about ½ cup
  • Additional coarse sea salt
  • 1 or 2 lemons cut into wedges
  • ½ cup chopped parsley, optional

How to make

Dry the fish with a paper towel and keep it in a wire rack. Now, use half salt, half peeper and half olive oil on the fish and marinate it for some minutes.

Heat the grill in the high temperature for 5-7 minutes. Leave it there until the fish flesh turns white. Then use a knife and remove the fish from the grill. Now, use some salt, parsley, and lemon on the grilled fish.

  • 24 ounces catfish fillets or 24 ounces other mild fish
  • 1⁄4 cup lemon juice
  • 1⁄4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, finely chopped or 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 6 garlic cloves, finely chopped, about 1 Tbsp
  • 3 green onions, chopped, green and white parts
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 paprika
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, adjust to taste

Grilled whole fish recipes ? Before putting your fish in the grill, at first prepare the marinade. To prepare it, mix soy sauce, vegetable oil, garlic, both types of onions, cayenne pepper, and lemon and stir it.

Now, put the mixture and fish in a bag and zip it. Keep it in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Now, heat the grill and grill the fish. Place each side to grill for 4 minutes. Let the fish flesh turn white and eat it with the other ingredients.
